Maryland Fried Chicken in Pompano Beach

I have been coming to Maryland chicken since 1999. Love the food and service. Thank you guys for a wonderful job. I refer my friends to guys all the time. Great Job!!!

This place was awesome...looked really dull and sleepy on the inside but was so amazed with the 1st bite of the chicken....Soo crunchy and full of flavor...had the nine piece with fries (you can skip the fries) will be back.

Chicken EXCELLENT. Good serving size. Need more sides available like mac and cheese and mashed potatoes instead of fries. 4.5 stars will be back

Halal fried chicken👌 Ordered the 15 piece fried chicken and fries...delicious! Not greasy rather juicy and tasty. I definitely didn't mind the drive from Plantation and will definitely be back...highly recommend⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Now don’t get me wrong, this place has been serving up chicken for decades and for the most part, it gets positive reviews. The thing is it’s not the old-school fried chicken I grew up eating. I wanted it to be great, but I can’t, in good conscience say it is just to be a part of the praise this place garners. The breasts are small and although tasty, the breading is not as plentiful as hoped it would be. Would I eat it again, yes I would. Would I go out of my way to get this chicken, no. No I wouldn’t.

Delicious Chicken! Crispy outside, soft & moist inside! Just right!

Small restaurant with limited parking in the the rear. Be prepared to wait especially during lunch hours. I had a two piece with fries lunch special. I was so disappointed because the food tasted like they had not changed the oil. I won't return nor would I recommend going. Side note: I don't mind waiting for good tasting food 👍

Everytime I go there they never have Mash potatoes available chicken is pretty good

Tha food is y im giving u a five. Its great n not at all greasy. But u forgot my 6 buns n forgot 3 pieces of chicken on my 15 piece. So make sure you thoroughly check your order(s) b4 u depart. Other than that, the food is healthy!

Had to wait for my Chicken to finish cooking, but it was sooooooooooo worth the wait. A bit pricey, so I can't go but a few times per year vs a Publix 8 piece Fried for 8.99

I had lunch there a week ago. So delicious. Chicken was moist, not salty. And my mother can eat it because there is no black pepper in the batter. The resturant is so clean, and when u go inside there is no smell of old oil. Considering they have been in business for YEARS! Sam is wonderful makes u feel like family. For lunch we had fish and chips and chicken. They also offer a lot of sides like fried mushrooms homemade coleslaw made on site. 10 times better then KFC. Price wise too. Try it. So good.

The chicken was seasoned very well (hence the 2 star rating) but overall, my meal was not at all what I expected it to be. The size of the beast looked like thighs. The sides were given in two small plastic ramekins. The baked beans tasted like they were straight from can. Macaroni salad was not enjoyable. I will never eat from this place again. Not even for the chicken.

Very very delicious fried chicken, we always get the beach box meal 3piece chicken with fries and coleslaw so yummy. Fresh food and the place is clean and friendly. Good value for your money. Been coming here 20+ yrs changed owners few times but they kept the original recipes....trust me best fried chicken yummy

This little piece of delicious chicken is a must. If you haven't already been to Maryland Fried Chicken you're missing out on the best fried chicken in town. I travel all over Florida and when I'm near here I pull off specifically for their chicken and I have never been disappointed...

Down here on vacation in Pompano Beach, Florida from Maryland. So, when I saw this on Google maps I just had to try it. Very glad I did!! Absolutely delicious fried chicken. Reminded me of that Maryland icon English's. The chicken was crispy, seasoned lightly and hot!! As in freshly cooked. It was juicy with no dry spots at all. Also I must say the service was top notch and the folks are extremely polite and welcome you as a customer. All in all a very pleasant and filling dining experience. If you're in the area and like fried chicken, don't hesitate to give them a try!!

I have been going here sinceI was in high school. I graduated on 1976 so its been a long time. I would come home change clothes and go get me a 3 pcs. dinner. Just as good now as it as then. No where is better!!!

The food here is awesome. If you want something simple you will love this place. Every time i am in Pompano Beach i stop here and get a bucket of their broasted chicken wings and a pint of their cole slaw.

Maryland Fried Chicken what can I say? Used to visit this place sporadically (on occasion) until we got the misconception that the meat was not halaal- it is 100% halaal. I will purchase the 3 piece for $7.50- which includes a breast, wing & thigh- fries & cole slaw. Worth it!!

The chicken is not as good as it used to be; parts were overcooked and parts were undercooked. The prices have gotten ridiculously high for the same small portions.

Plenty of available seats I went around 6pm and was the party there. They were out of mashed potatoes and gravy. Soft drinks were watery. Good chicken good Cole slaw. But I won't be going there again.

I am the owner of maryland fried chicken there is a coment of bad review that i did not cook chicken he came in 3 min to 9 and he wanted me to cook he did not call ahead like we say we cook to order after 830 even if u come in ten min before we can can cook it when he came people were waiting for there food which we were cooking no one throws our chicken and no one was eatting when he came he was in bad mood he said he will put a bad review because i did not cook we have best chicken in broward county all you will find in our garbage is bones no one throughs any chicken thanks to god we run a honest and we work hard to keep our food good. i am sorry he did not come early for me to cook for him.we love our coustomers and we try out best best to give our coustomer good service. Thanks for all your support.

Customer service was awesome!!! Felt right at home. Chicken was like no other & fries nice & crispy just how I love them. Everything was fresh & hot. My husband Robert brought me to the best chicken in town!!!!

I come here with my dad and we adore this place. The friend chicken is textbook and have a great flavor. The people who work here are always smiling and eager to greetyou. Always getting extra food with the order. Love this place!

This was my first time at this restaurant. My wife and Mother In law dined as well. The food was very good and the costs was very reasonable. The manager was very friendly and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

The three star review is only because of how horrible the place looked. I loved the chicken, it was better than anything I have had in the area by far. The fries were delicious, onion rings were top notch! The place though...like clean it, please. I know its just a stop and go, but take pride in your restaurant. Spend some extra $$ on a deep clean for the place because it could really use it...

The chicken is delicious and well seasoned. Not greasy. Super affordable. Friendly staff, clean and tidy. This was our second visit and we will continue to return for more.

I have traveled [and eaten] around the world the last 15 years and have never left a google or yelp review. But, being from MD, and finally trying this place today I have no choice. They RESPECT the chicken and the MD tradition. I haven't had that amazing MD fried chicken taste since the 1960's in Wheaton, MD. The meal was tasty and crispy and the restaurant was clean. I'll bring the wife next time :)

Want fried chicken and fires? Perfect place to grab some 👌👌👌. Plus it's Halal 😍The chicken is better than the fries, its moist and tender and you'll eat too much if you're not careful. Friendly staff eagerly interact with you. Parking is a limited and on the street edge. Small area but great experience I'm deff coming back 👍

This is the best fried chicken in Florida. It’s juicy not dry. And not greasy. And it’s halal. The owner is very nice and takes pride in his food and service. After moving to Florida I tried other places but none compare to how delicious Maryland Fried Chicken is.

I really don't want to tell the world about my 2 piece breast with fries and slaw, but I must be fair to the wonderful owners and their family. They have the BEST fried chicken on this planet! I stop here on my trips from Boston to fort lauderdale without fail.

The food is incredibly tasty & fresh, yes it’s a little more then KFC but there is no comparison this is the BEST FRIED CHICKEN I HAVE EVER EATEN IN MY LIFE , I rather pay a little more for better chicken. KEEP IT UP MARYLAND FRIED CHICKEN!!!
